Individual app settings

For a better acceptance and efficient use of the app, it would be great for the app users to enable indivual settings within the app:

  1. Saving reading positions: if the app starts, always the last article is opened
  2. Zoom into an article: If you had the option for every article to enable a pinch-zoom, users would be able to zoom into details without any additional functions in an article
  3. Delete downloaded files from the Tablet: If you have an older iPad with less hard drive space, it's necessary to delete regulary downloaded articles or collections, you don't need anymore. At the moment I can't find a way to do that and have to uninstall the app.

Official comment
  1. An article-based app will start where it ends, but indeed on the first page for InDesign-based articles.
  2. Possible with html-articles. Not possible with InDesign-based articles, but you have alternatives there (Full Screen Images, Scrollable Content) for some interactive elements)
  3. That is possible for both issue-based apps and article-based apps. Article-based apps will retain a maximum of 700MB cached content but the system is the boss. If less space is available, the system will start cleaning. Also see https://help.twixlmedia.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003972449-Managing-content-downloading-5-5-

comment to the first paragraph:
In most cases, an article consists of several pages or states. If you interrupt reading the article, you want to continue reading at this page or state later on. At the moment the app only shows the first page and status of an article after reopen the app instead of the correct reading position.

Thanks for your answer. Are you planned a solution to enable a save the reading position within an article? Espacially for sales people, who use the app for presentations, it would be much more comfortable to continue a presentation exactly at this point, where they have been interrupted.
