I'm working with Indesign based articles and I'm looking for a button command that can take you to the previously viewed article.
e.g. I have button that goes from PAGE 01 to PAGE 03 - I then need a button with a previous article command that will take me back to PAGE 01 not to PAGE 02.
A direct page link back is not what I need.
We've planned this function as a custom url scheme for our next major release (5.5). We'll probably release a beta-release at the end of this month. Be aware that this functionality will only be available for article-based apps. Legacy Single-Issue Apps and Multi-Issue apps will not have this custom url scheme available.
Did this ever get implemented?
No, not yet. At this moment, it's planned for 6.1
Hello, when is the planned release date for this feature?
I have historically and also recently come across several Twixl clients who need this feature and also expect that this would be a feature in any app where digital publishing, in general, is concerned.
Imagine a footnote on page 10 in an 800-page manual taking the user to the back of a publication on page 700 with no easy way of getting back to the previously viewed article on page 10 other than using the TOC or swiping 690 times to get back to page 10 in the collection.
