Not planned

Is there a plan to add this common feature to your platform? If so when can we expect this?

Twixl Publisher supports 3 types of content: Twixl Publisher InDesign publications, .html-content and native PDF-files. For both .html-content and PDF-files, you can pinch & zoom. We strongly believe that Twixl Publisher InDesign publications should be pixel-perfect and as such we have currently no plans to implement pinch & zoom support for Twixl Publisher InDesign publications.

I disagree and I think most people utilizing InDesign with Twixl will agree that pinch & zoom is necessary and a standard. We have readers with visibility issues so they need to be able to enlarge type easily. Our client has asked us to look for other platforms if our partner (Twixl) has no plans to support this standard feature that their readers rely on.

If I was to convert our existing app that uses InDesign to Twixl into HTML how do I get the all the HTML files into the Twixl platform to test the app?

Concerning your first answer:

You can perfectly create content that has good readability for readers with visibility issues. You can create InDesign-files with a pixel-perfect design (with the right font-sizes) or you can create an article-based app with .html content that is responsive and zoomable. Keep in mind that pinching & zooming can be problematic for other users as well. The best thing you can do is to make sure the design is as good as it can be for as much people as possible.

Concerning your second answer:

We'll convert this question into a ticket so we can stay on-topic here (Feature Requests).

Concerning this issue, we have a lot of customer's back issues (made with DPS) placing the magazine PDF on an InDesign layout and then publishing it for iPad only (sort of a replica version since re-creating all the content to match the screen size is not cost-effective at this point). So, a pinch and zoom is required to read it ... Is it possible to upload a PDF file (instead of an InDesign file with a PDF on the top) in an issue-based publication to let the reader pinch and zoom it?

Gracias ...
