Google (Firebase) Analytics

Twixl Support Team Updated: - Created :

Twixl apps offer support for Google Analytics. They are actually based on Firebase Analytics but Google still calls them Google Analytics (that's really confusing, we know ;-).

    Supported platforms

All of our platforms support Google Analytics:

    • iOS and Android apps
    • The Browser Client

    Setup

    General setup

You'll need to generate a Google Analytics Key for each platform you want to have separate analytics for.

To generate a Google Analytics Key:

    1. Login to analytics.google.com
    2. Create a new Property of type Web
    3. Add a Data Stream for Web to the Property
    4. If needed, you can link this new Property to the old native Google Analytics property you used before. Look for the option Use existing on-page tag

Setup for iOS and Android apps / The Browser Client

If you want to activate Google Analytics for your mobile apps and/or the Browser Client, you need to insert the Google Analytics Key into the designated area of your Twixl App on the Twixl platform

Adding analytics information for InDesign interactive elements
